Pathways to a Healthy Kansas, a Blue Cross and Blue Shield funding program, in partnership with Heal Reno County launched the speaker series addressing the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) initiatives.

Begun on June 12th, a series of events are featuring community leaders, speaking on different topics highlighted in the CHIP. The residents of Reno County are invited to join in on the conversation to learn and be engaged in the efforts being made to improve gaps of care and areas identified by the CHIP. “This is a great time for people to understand how much work is going on to better our community, make improvements to better the health of our people and provide access to specific types of care needed,” explains Candace Davidson, Health Promotion Supervisor for Reno County Health Department. “We are excited about who is presenting on topics and believe our community can have a great impact on the steps we are taking to work on areas in the CHIP.”

The speaker series gives people four different opportunities to be educated on four different topics and initiatives.

Beverages and snacks will be provided during the events, and all are welcome to attend. To learn more about the CHIP visit Reno County Community Health Improvement Plan link or connect with Heal Reno County to learn how to be involved.
