The Reno County Health Department participated in the World Mental Health Day event by Fight the Stigma Inc. at Gowan's Stadium Thursday evening. A community photo was taken on the football field to recognize the important day. 

"The overall objective of the (annual) World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health," according to Fight the Stigma's Facebook page. 

Everyone in attendance heard from local community members who spoke about their lived experiences and they also learned where to receive help from local agencies.
